A Very Merry Christmas!
This is what we woke up to Christmas Morning! What a beautiful site it was! On Christmas Eve we went to my brother's house and had dinner, visited, and let the kids play. After we got home that night Grandpa Alan came to sleep over like he does most Christmas Eves. We watched a movie clip of the Christmas Story and the kids changed into their new pajamas and slippers. We put out the cookies for Santa that we made earlier that day and the kids were eager to go to bed so that Santa could arrive. They all ended up sleeping on the top bunk with Lexi. I was surprised how fast they fell asleep. I remember as a child I wasn't that good- I don't think I ever slept that night. That morning the kids were up bright and early. Paul and I were up even earlier because we were so excited. It so fun having kids! We had such a fun morning as a family. The excitement in the air was so wonderful! Alexis and Carter got their Nintendo DS's, Lily got an High School Musical East High barbie house, I got an Ipod, and Paul got some clothes. Paul made a very yummy breakfast and then we tried to dig ourselves out of that huge snowy blanket so we could visit our families. It wasn't so easy- It's been a long time since I've seen a storm like this and it just kept coming down. Thank heaven for 4-wheel drive or we would have never gotten out of our driveway! We had a great time visiting with our families. We then came home with Chinese food to eat and relaxed.
I am so greatful for my loving Heavenly Father who sent down a Savior for all mankind. I love Him, and thankful to reflect upon His birth, His life, and His gift to us all! May you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy 2009! We are so blessed to have family and friends like you!
With love- Paul, Nicole, Alexis, Carter, & Lily
